LG2 Progress Update: Lagrange Points, AI, and a Fact-Checking Pause

It's been a while since my last blog update, and during that time, I've completed the first version of LG2 and had it edited by a generous friend who regularly works in this field. I've also created new cover art, a hand-drawn sketch of which will soon be featured on my author website. The artwork now prominently features a bus, with a diagram of the Lagrange point incorporated as the bus's brand logo, and 'LG2' displayed on the bus route sign. 

A key aspect of the story in LG2 revolves around artificial intelligence, which plays a significant role almost like another character. While I'm not an expert, I am aware of AI's increasing influence on human society and its rapid evolution. To avoid predictions that quickly fall wide of the mark, I've had to be very circumspect about where AI might land during the story's timeframe. I provide a brief overview of this evolution, drawing partly from current events, and almost daily developments could render my predictions outdated. 

Until I can refine these ideas further, I've decided to pause my plans for publication. I'm consulting a good friend who is an expert in computer-related matters and a regular AI user. He has graciously offered to provide me with a "reality check," as he puts it. Once we have more opportunities to discuss these insights, I plan to move forward and will keep you updated. In the meantime, I urge caution in the use of AI, as its risks are real and only just beginning to be understood.
